Healthier version of an old-time favorite

My challenge...to make any recipe I encounter healthier. It isn't an easy task when your biggest critic is your 18-year-old son...but my healthier version of  chocolate chip cookies actually passed the critic's test.

Chocolate chip cookies

2 1/4 cups organic flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large cage-free brown eggs
2 fully-ripened bananas
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Combine all dry ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients, with the exception of the chocolate morsels. Mix slowly to combine the ingredients, and then beat on high until fluffy. Add chocolate chip morsels and slowly blend. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter on a non-greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° F for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute and then remove the cookies from the baking sheet. Cool on a cooling rack or eat promptly (while the cookies are warm and the chocolate melts in your mouth) with a glass of ice cold skim milk. If any remain, place the finished cookies in your family's favorite cookie jar...

And voile...
